Goodwood Revival 1

The eighteenth Goodwood Revival was held on 11-13 September at the Goodwood Motor Circuit, Chichester. As the world's most authentic historic race meeting, it recreates the golden age of racing between 1948 and 1966 for the kind of cars and motorcycles used at the circuit then. It is a magical step back in time with period vehicles, aircraft, entertainment and fashion all adding to the atmosphere.

The Band of the Royal Marines, resplendent in their red tunics, march in front of the grandstands as part of the Track Blessing ceremony.

Exhilerating action from the American drag racing cars, known as Gassers, which began in the 1940s and 1950s.

Amazing close racing from AC Cobras, Aston Martin DB4 GTs, Jaguar E-types and Ferrari 250 models in the one hour RAC TT Celebration race. The winner was Gordon Shedden and Chris Ward's 1963 Jaguar E-type (No. 89 above).
