This pretty well sums up our impression of the splendid gardens we were able to enjoy on what turned out to be a wonderful summer afternoon and by the kind permission of David and Victoria Thomas who have spent the last twenty years creating their passion. You could spend all day roaming up and down the paths and borders and still not see all that was there.
After our arrival and introduction to their head gardener, we enjoyed a conducted tour to some of the distinct areas or were able to amble around in our own time and seek out any particular interests that took our fancy, having each been given a map of the place and no one got lost.
We then spread ourselves around the gardens to enjoy a sumptuous buffet lunch and after some relaxation in the warm sunshine it was time to pack up for the journey home. Our attendance resulted in a contribution £175 to a charity nominated by Churcher's College; David and Victoria making no charge for allowing us to enjoy their magnificent gardens.
