| A new venue for the Club, a new type of event and spread over a whole weekend. Ten cars on Saturday and twenty on Sunday made an impressive display for the crowds of visitors who came to see the oily-rag steam engines but enjoyed our luxury cars as well.
After several weeks of dry weather the vast expanse of Wiston House Park was pretty hard so despite some rain over night we did not have to contend with a sea of mud which could have occurred.
As well as our Club cars and steam tractors and road rollers there were vintage motorcycles, classic cars, stationary steam engines, heavy commercial vehicles and military trucks, plus the usual array of stalls selling everything from old tools to cherries.
Thanks to Richard English, who in previous years had exhibited his vintage Rudge motorcycles, for getting there early and organising a good display area for us.
