| For the fourth or fifth year running our Section has been able to use the Club House at the Ham Manor Golf Club Angmering, West Sussex, for a Sunday lunch. Yet again it proved to be a most popular winter venue and yet again the food was excellent with a wide variety to choose from.
I think our numbers put a great strain on the serving staff and I am told some members who had to wait longest got bad tempered and were somewhat rude and became very impatient. In hindsight, although they said they could cater for up to eighty, it would have been a good idea to limit RREC members to fifty. However, I am sure most of us enjoyed the day and it was good to hear Chris Tween, our Chairman, announce that Central Southern has been awarded best Section. A long time coming, in my opinion!
I had the pleasure to meet four 'new' members, Mr & Mrs Bob Timms and Mr & Mrs Philip Gooding. I hope they found a friendly welcome and that they become 'regulars'.
