| fifty-five Club members and their guests assembled with twenty-five of our cars, which managed to fit just comfortably into the car park at this delightful inn at the foot of the South Downs. We were able to enjoy pre-lunch drinks outside to enjoy the scenery and marvel, sometimes with covetous eyes, at the select display of our cars covering ninety years of Rolls-Royce and Bentley production. It was soon time to enjoy a traditional Sunday lunch, served most efficiently and enjoyed by all in the restaurant and bar which was packed to capacity, but comfortably so. All in all a very convivial meeting soon came to an end when it was time to start engines for the journey home and soak up some more of the Sussex countryside. |
