| A record-breaking British car, the 'Birkin' Bentley, broke the world record to sell for £5 million at Bonhams Goodwood Festival of Speed Sale on Friday 29 June. The 1929 4½-litre Supercharged 'Blower' Bentley single-seater sold for £5,041,500. It is now the most expensive Bentley ever sold at public auction. The overall sale realised £22 million. |
