| This was to be a picnic event and true to form we were well supported with twenty-nine Club cars. The cars were going to park in front of the House, but because of the constant rain on the Saturday the management and head gardener decided we could not drive on the grass, so we were allotted a private car park. The Sunday turned out to be a fine day so most of the members could still enjoy their picnic. Inside the House there was much to see including French furniture, French pottery and Italian paintings, and the original Victorian servants' quarters which had survived in their original setting.
