| Central Southern Section invited the Bentley Drivers' Club to join us for a picnic at Hollycombe Working Steam Museum. Twenty-six club cars arrived including nine BDC cars, all Bentleys of course, including five WOs.
The weather was much as has been the case for the earlier part of this British Summer. It started dry and cool, the drizzle turning into quite heavy rain as we sat down for our picnic.
Discussions with the BDC Chairman Harry Wadingham revealed a common interest in trying to develop a firmer and better relationship between our two clubs, and a willingness on behalf of their membership to share other joint ventures. As a result we are looking to Harry to further a couple of ideas we floated by him.
The fairground proved irresistible to some, including Anne Windows who was seen revolving around in the big wheel, her first ever ride on such a contraption, and 'Ticker' Windows, despite being in need of a new pacemaker battery, mounted a roundabout steed and galloped off, around and around.
