It was expected to be the hottest October day since records began and we were not disappointed. A Sunday lunch had been arranged at Bognor Regis Golf Club and fifty members sat down in their clubhouse at 1pm for a 'carvery type' meal. Fortunately we had a dedicated area to park and an outdoor place to sit and enjoy the sunshine with pre-lunch drinks, on the patio by the side of the putting green.
The roads were extremely busy in the area due to the Indian Summer so a number of people only just made it on time. Our Ted M had a milestone birthday the following day so that was marked with the usual song. David Gray, the Section Chairman, thanked the Club management and the staff, and myself for organising the event.
