Things to do in Chichester South Downs Planetarium

Visit the South Downs Planetarium in Chichester to experience the magic of the night sky in comfort together with expert commentary by a professional astronomer.

The real sky is not always available for viewing and the planetarium is both educational and also very enjoyable. Surrounded by the stars we show you the constellation figures and demonstrate how the stars and planets move. Our full-dome shows feature stunning immersive video

The shows are suitable for all from 6 years of age, and pre-booking is essential. Find out what shows are coming up below.

Admission Prices:
£7.00 for adults, or £5.00 for children under 16.

PLEASE NOTE that we are unable to accept credit or debit cards at present.

The Dome has seating for up to 96 people with additional space and easy access for wheelchairs.

How to find us.
The South Downs Planetarium and Science Centre is located at the southern end of the Chichester High Schools campus.

Car Parking
Please note there are two free car parks available.

A Note For Satnav Users.
Please use PO19 8AE which is the postcode of the Chichester High Schools and this will bring you in to the campus via the correct Kingsham Road entrance.

Bus: Chichester Bus Station is a 10 minute walk away from the South Downs Planetarium. For an up-to-date timetable visit the STAGECOACH website
