One of the UK’s best-loved stars, Ruth Jones, makes a rare stage appearance in this intriguing new comedy.

When the local acapella group gather in the village hall they have every reason to look forward to their weekly rehearsal. There’s Steven, aged 60, the Cambridge-educated choirmaster; Diane, his younger wife; Ben, who was once a professional tennis player married to Connie, who was once a model; and Bruno, a young history teacher, who cares for his mother. They appear to be the friendliest bunch you could imagine. Whatever their differences, whatever the problems they may have at home, all are happily bound together in their shared love of music. The two hours of laughter and harmonies fly by. Until one day newcomer Maggie knocks on the door and everything changes…

This new play provides the compelling role of Maggie for Ruth Jones, best known for the award-winning Gavin & Stacey. Other acting credits include Jimmy McGovern’s The Street, Hattie and Stella.

William Gaminara is an actor and writer, who recently appeared at Chichester in An Enemy of the People and is perhaps best known for playing Leo Dalton in Silent Witness and Dr Richard Locke in The Archers. His plays include According to Hoyle and The Three Lions, as well as This Life and The Lakes for TV.

Christopher Luscombe’s productions include Love’s Labour’s Lost and Much Ado About Nothing (Festival 2016), Nell Gwynn (Shakespeare’s Globe and West End) and The Madness of George III (UK Tour and West End).
