Sign up to the Fishbourne Roman Army!
Visit the museum during half-term and take part in the Roman-themed activities to earn yourself a certificate and a (replica) Roman coin as your first day’s pay! New recruits will need to master drill parades, ‘sword’ and ‘spear’ practice, archery, ‘stone’ throwing, dressing-up Roman-style, roman board games and learn about the medicines used 2,000 years ago. Plus have a go at tasting some Roman-style food and acquire your own SPQR ‘tattoo’ and a fake wound if you are brave enough!
This October half term, visitors to Arundel Castle will be able to find out what it was like living at the Castle in the early Norman period with weapons, armour, combat and craft demonstrations to bring the era to life.
Follow the trail to find 14 GIANT Dusty Ducks designed by World famous Aardman studios and dressed by celebs, including Steve Backshall’s Explorer Dusty, Smarked’s (Sam and Mark’s) Tiger Dusty and Joanna Lumley’s absolutely fabulous Patsy Dusty.
Discover Dusty’s dressing up during October half term when kids in costume win a chocolate treat! Create your own a costume for Dusty Duck in our colouring contest.
Come to the Planetarium for a flight of fancy to explore our planetary neighbours. From the searing surface of our Sun, we head past beautiful blue Earth to the grandest volcanoes and most spectacular canyons in the Solar System, then on to some quite remarkable moons of Jupiter, and finally to the glorious rings of Saturn, and yet more remarkable moons.
Fasten your seat belts for the trip of a lifetime.
