GASTON FARM - OPEN LAMBING 30 MARCH - 28 APRIL

Gaston Farm open the gates to their working farm every year for Open Lambing, where you can find yourself watching the miracle of lambs being born, handle lambs, chicks and ducklings, take a FREE tractor ride and pay a visit to the onsite cafe and shop on this friendly family-run farm.

Open every day 10am - 4.30pm except Monday 1st April & Tuesday 2nd April.

Entry is £6 per person, 2’s and under are free. Cash only.

Please check the Gaston Farm website prior to visiting to ensure no further closure dates have been added.

EASTER BUNNY BOAT TRIPS 12 - 16 APRIL & 19 - 22 April

Designed for younger members of the family, Chichester Ship Canal's, Easter Bunny boat trips will take your little bunnies on an Easter adventure. Taking approx 1hr 20 minutes, the brightly decorated boats will travel along the canal to Hunston, after a brief stop our Easter Bunny will join you aboard for fun all the way back to the canal basin. Watch out Spring wildlife on the way and enjoy refreshments for all and a gift from the Easter Bunnies. Advance booking essential.

EASTER AT THE WEALD & DOWN LIVING MUSEUM 8 - 22 April

The Museum is a wonderful place to visit at Easter. From our traditional Easter weekend to family-friendly Easter activities – there’s something for everyone!
Easter marks the start of our main season, when the longer days and warmer weather can be enjoyed against the stunning backdrop of our 40-acre site in the South Downs National Park.

EASTER HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES
Activities run from Monday 8 – Easter Monday 22 April 2019.
Try craft activities and play traditional games. If the weather is kind, take a wagon ride for a small donation to the Museum. You can also see our heavy horses, as well as Southdown lambs and sheep, our working oxen and other traditional farm animals.

EASTER AT THE MUSEUM AND THE EASTER BAKE
From Good Friday 19 – Easter Monday 22 April 2019 visitors can experience traditional Easter preparations and celebrations, which begin with the traditional Good Friday bake in Winkhurst Tudor kitchen.
Activities vary each daily and include egg painting, bonnet making and an Easter bonnet parade in the Market Square on Easter Monday..

BIRDS & BUGS FAMILY ACTIVITIES - CHICHESTER CATHEDRAL  9 April

10am – 3pm (last entry 2.30pm)

Get creative with birds and bugs craft activities, follow a birds and bugs trail and collect a prize when you finish.
The trail around the Cathedral is themed to each activity day, making it different each time. Children choose the trail that fits their age and ability to find different places and objects within the Cathedral before collecting a prize at the end. The craft element of the day gives everyone the opportunity to get creative and make something special to take home. If you're not a crafty adult don't worry, there are lots of helpers on hand to get you started and offer support during your visit.

No need to book just drop in - £2.50 per child. Suitable for children aged 3 – 11 years, accompanied by an adult. For younger siblings under 3 years there is a carpeted area with toys.

EASTER SURPRISES - FISHBOURNE ROMAN PALACE 15 - 19 April

Celebrate the coming of spring at Fishbourne Roman Palace this Easter. Explore the Roman gardens with an Easter-themed treasure hunt around the gardens. Try your hand at springtime crafts including spinning wool into yarn, Roman writing, designing a mosaic, dressing up Roman-style and making a Roman sundial and use it to tell the time. There is plenty to do under cover so if the spring weather does its worst, you can still have a great family day out.s.

8 April - Power Prints (11+ yrs) Explore the art of screen-printing, creating stencils to design and print your own patterned wallpaper.
10 April - Screen Printing (6+yrs) Have a go at screen printing, using it to transform an old piece of clothing with a bold new design.
11 April - Go Large (11+yrs) Experiment with paint, ink and print to create your own large-scale painting inspired by contemporary painter Nick Goss.
15 April - Strike a Pose (6+yrs) Paint, print and stamp to create a series of life-size self-portraits.
16 April - Back to the Future (11+ yrs) Construct a 3D scene imagining life in 2119, model your own characters and bring them to life with stop-frame animation.
17 April - Think Big (6+yrs) Create a large-scale landscape painting, experimenting with expressive paint techniques and a range of materials to build your imaginary scene.
18 April - Make it Move (6+yrs) Learn how to produce stop-frame animations, using iPads and light boxes to experiment with shape, colour and pattern.

CADBURY EASTER EGG HUNT - UPPARK HOUSE & GARDEN 6 - 22 April

The Cadbury Bunny has hidden precious chocolate eggs across the country, and some of them are at Uppark. Now it’s up to you and your family to find them by completing the nature-themed trail around the grounds to collect a yummy chocolate reward.

GIANT EASTER DUCK TRAIL - WWT ARUNDEL 6 - 22 April

Go quackers and find all 16 giant yellow ducks hiding all over Arundel wetlands visiting their real-life cousins on this fun,family trail and win a treat. There are more ducky activities for families to have a go at over the Easter holidays, too.

Ducks dine, geese gorge and owls ingest! You make the ‘end result’ at the fun, slimy workshop Poology workshop every day from noon-1pm in Swan Lake Room. The Eggstraodinary Trolley roams the grounds daily engaging families hands-on with feathers, nests and eggs to bring springtime to life. Go Pond Dipping to fish out wild wonders in the Pond Explorer Station with the WWT Learning team everyday. Cracking Crafts for kids will be held 2-4pm daily in the Swan Lake Room. You can also take a Wetlands Discovery Boat Safari from the Jetty. All in all Easter never looked more quack-tastic at Arundel Wetland Centre.

EASTER EGGSTRAVAGANZA - FONTWELL PARK 12 April

Looking for something to do with the kids over the Easter Holidays? Why not try something a bit different and come down to Fontwell Park Racecourse for a day full of fun. The kids will be spoilt for choice with a selection of free entertainment and activities including our famous Easter Egg Hunt and you can watch 7 eggselent races up close to all the action! Fontwell have a unique viewing point in the middle of the track which will be open with a funfair, a petting zoo with rabbits, chicks and more and face painting throughout the day. Gates open at 12:00, the first race is at 14:10 and Kids go free. Adult tickets can be purchased direct from Fontwell Park
