Things to do in Chichester this February Half-Term

With the prospect of a few rainy days and post-Christmas finances still needing a little time to recover, February half-term can be a tricky one to keep the kids entertained. SUSSEX PUDDLE JUMPING CHAMPIONSHIPS - WWT ARUNDEL

16 - 24 February

If some outdoor family fun is what you're looking for this February half-term, then dust of those wellies and prepare to face the splashometer! With daily winners, this wonderful wet event is sure to be a splashtastic day out.

SPRING HALF TERM ACTIVITIES – WEALD & DOWNLAND LIVING MUSEUM

18- 22 February 11am – 3pm daily

There will be various creative crafts going on all February half-term week, mostly under-cover, across the amazing Weald & Downland Museum. Take a step back in time amongst the enchanting buildings and let your little ones learn whilst they play. A great day for the whole family, even the dog (on a lead).

MAGIC LANTERN SHOW - NOVIUM MUSEUM

22 February 12:00, 13:30 and 15:00

Professor Ignatius Rumsby will at The Novium Museum this February half term presenting his Grand Magic Lantern Show which will include comic tales, childrens stories, moral tales and more. Book now for one of these FREE Magic Lantern Shows at the Novium.

STARGAZING SOUTH DOWNS - SOUTH DOWNS NATIONAL PARK AUTHORITY

16 February 4pm – 8pm

This FREE event at Midhurst celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Apollo moon landing. Your young astronauts will love the indoor planetarium shows; talks on the moon, the stars and nocturnal wildlife; science experiments and much more. You don't need to book and did we mention the event is FREE!

FAMILY ACTIVITY: 'WONDERFUL WATER' – CHICHESTER CATHEDRAL

22 February 10am - 3pm

For indoor half-term fun let your little ones take you on a themed trail around Chichester Cathedral and enjoy some crafty fun. There are different trails to choose to suit ages 3 - 11 year olds, and adult helpers on hand to help with the craft. The cost is only £2.50 per child and there's no need to book.

FAMILY FUN DAYS – FISHBOURNE ROMAN PALACE

18- 22 February 10am – 4pm daily

This half-term at Fishbourne Roman Palace you can get hands-on and find out what the Romans did for us. There will be pottery-making, dressing up, mosaics, spinning and weaving activities to try. A perfect opportunity for you and the children to learn something new about the Romans in Chichester!
