Chichester Canal
The Chichester Ship Canal was first opened in 1822, linking Chichester to the sea. Today Chichester Canal is navigable for two miles as far as Donnington and daily boat trips are available. This is a favourite spot for walking or cycling the towpath, and a peaceful backwater for rowing, canoeing, fishing and bird watching.   © Photo: Ian Burt
