Chichester City Walls 3 homebacknext
There are plenty of peaceful green spaces for a casual stroll, an escape from the bustle of the shopping streets or for a picnic. Priory Park and the Recreation Ground provide open areas for sports such as football, cricket and bowls, and also children's playgrounds.   Walls Walk sign
Statue of old man.   The Guildhall.
'Neptune', a sculpture of an old seated man, when new, was in South Street. A hundred years ago it was brought to Priory Park.   Beyond the bowling green and children's playground is the 13th century choir building of the Greyfriars, now a museum.
Jubilee Park.   The Walls at Jubilee Park.
Over the wall is Jubilee Park, with magnificient trees, planted for the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Queen Victoria, 1887.   Walking outside of the Walls in Jubilee Park gives a true picture of their height and scale.
