Chichester City Walls 2 homebacknext
As you set out to walk the Roman walls surrounding much of Priory Park you will experience one of the most pleasing corners of Chichester. The park was a gift from the 7th Duke of Richmond and Gordon to the citizens in 1918 and it is beautifully cared for. It has earned the City much praise from residents and visitors alike.   Plaque in Priory Lane.

In the north-east quadrant follow the promenade on top of the Roman earth ramparts which surround much of the park.   The Cathedral spire viewed from the Walls within the park. As you circle the City you will get many glimpses of the Cathedral.
