Save St Richard's Hospital - March and Rally

On Saturday 27 October 2007 an estimated 15,000 participants joined a March through Chichester and a Rally in Priory Park to support the Save St Richard's Hospital Campaign. Celebrity speakers included Rolling Stone Keith Richards, actors Christopher Timothy and Patricia Routledge, and broadcaster Duncan Barkes. Everybody was urged to write a letter to the West Sussex Primary Care Trust to express their anger about possible downgrading of the hospital. This massive turnout was probably the largest demonstration ever seen in Chichester.
