PRESENTATION TO TOMMY WELHAM, PHILIP AND JEAN FRANCIS
at the Hilton (Avisford Park) Hotel, Walberton - Sunday 7 December 2003

AGM presentation.
Clifton Spencer, Philip and Jean Francis, Tommy Welham and Ted Meachem.

Tommy and Philip with their wives Dot and Jean, have been the first friendly, familiar faces Club members have met at the South of England Rallies and now after almost twenty-five years they have decided to hang up their Gate Marshal spurs. In quiet discussions between the Five Sections it was decided that this long and dedicated service should be recognised. Two, suitably inscribed, cut glass decanters and two bouquets were purchased from the surplus funds of the 2003 South of England Rally. Unfortunately there was a clash of dates in December with Middlesex, Thames Valley and Surrey Section AGM's but these Sections kindly provided letters of thanks. On the day Dot Welham was also unwell and unable to attend. Ted Meachem and Clifton Spencer on behalf of all the Five Sections presented the decanters, bouquets and files to mark the event to Tommy, Philip and Jean.
