LUNCH AT HAYLING ISLAND GOLF CLUB - Sunday 13 February 2005

The day was cold but bright and twenty-two cars were displayed in the car park at Hayling Island Golf Club whilst members took lunch in the clubhouse. The management of Hayling had given us permission to use their dining room for our carvery lunch. Some sixty-six of us sat down to a very tasty roast lunch with dessert to follow. The President of Hayling Island Golf Club, Derrick Hurrell, a stalwart member of the Central Southern Section, hosted the occasion and a short welcoming speech was given by the Club Captain. I was delighted to hear from many of our members that they enjoyed the food and the venue and want to repeat the event next year!
