SPIT ROAST BUFFET AT 'STADDLES', FISHBOURNE
Sunday 1 August 2004

How lucky can we get! For the second year the weather was glorious for the gathering of members and their Rolls and Bentleys on the lawns at Staddles. We had forty cars, and over one hundred members and friends who enjoyed the Pimms followed by the roast pig and salad. Nigel and Gilly Crossley kindly set up a table with a wide selection of wines for members to taste and order if they wished.

Michael Marriage brought his 1957 Bentley S1, newly polished by a professional valet service, for everyone to admire to give us an idea of what can be achieved by two days intensive attention to the bodywork. The only word that I can think of is 'stunning'!

I would like to thank David and Anne Steel for parking the cars and my family for all the hard work helping to make such a successful and memorable meeting.
