SUNDAY LUNCH AT THE ROYAL OAK, CHICHESTER ROAD,
MIDHURST
14 March 2004
This was a highly successful gathering for forty-eight members and their guests. Ten members braved
the elements (with the prospect of another clean and polish for their pride and joy) by bringing
their Club cars. Other members arrived in the 'family car', not to be outdone by the dreadful weather
conditions, completing the forty-eight places for lunch. The food and service were first-class in
the friendly, warm country inn surroundings. Neil, the manager, and his staff were most helpful.
Thanks to the chef, the food came on time.
Only one car failed to proceed. The owner was rescued by the timely assistance of the BW1's jump leads.
A good winter Sunday event, most enjoyable in spite of the strong winds and heavy rain.
