LUNCH AT THE LICKFOLD INN
Sunday 28 February 2016

The Lickfold Inn lies deep in the heart of West Sussex twixt Petworth, Midhurst and Haselmere. It takes some finding and is somewhat remote, however well worth the effort. Beamed ceilings and open fires give an 'olde world' charm but the cuisine is far from old world, fine dining with a modern twist and the service is exemplary, friendly and attentive. The Inn has had a number of owners over the last few years, including Chris Evans, but the current owners have just celebrated their first year in business and are going from strength to strength. The only slight hic-cup concerns their telephone booking arrangements which seem to rely solely on a recalcitrant answering machine somewhere in London. Better by far to use Gennaro's, the Restaurant Manager's, personal mobile number 07760 339136.
