|April Fools Day and there was no sign of any jokes let alone a Swiss Spaghetti harvest (only those whose memory goes back to 1957 will know what I am on about).
Anyway, our lunch at The Bird in Hand attracted thirty-two members in seventeen cars which looked quite spectacular in the spring sunshine. We really did have a great assortment of cars - The Bentleys on show were a Turbo R, Arnage, R-Type, a Continental GT, a Mark VI and Bill Cottell's 1987 Continental Convertible (HCH20723), shown below.
The other cars were a 20/25 Sports Saloon and a 20/25 Limousine, a Twenty, two Corniche Convertibles and a Corniche Saloon, a Silver Wraith, Shadow and Spirit and two Seraphs. The Spirit owned by David & Christine Heater is also shown below.
A photograph of the cars has been sent to the Portsmouth News and we'll let you know if it makes the front page.
