VISIT TO MOTTISFONT ABBEY AND GARDENS, NEAR ROMSEY - Sunday 4 August
2002
Members from Central Southern and Wessex Sections enjoyed a pleasant day out with bright
sunshine. The heat was such that parasols and picnics in the shade of trees was the order
of the day. The Whistler Room proved a great attraction, as well as the gardens and plants
for sale.
There were thirty club cars on show. The many different models included a 1924 Ghost, an early 20/25 and two later ones, 3 1/2 and 4 1/4 Derbys, coachbuilt Mark VI and Standard Steel Saloon, R type, Shadows, Corniches, Spirits and Turbo Rs.
