A glorious day allowed the sixty-plus members who arrived in thirty-one cars to really enjoy the house and grounds of Petworth.
Sadly, the very special gardens were not open, but many enjoyed the park and particularly the lake. Some of the local herd of deer could be seen up on the hill behind.
Several pictures on display in the house had recently been cleaned, and the re-done kitchen caused considerable interest.
The weather was such that picnics were definitely under the trees and everyone enjoyed the warmth. A good day all round.
