FROYLE VILLAGE FETE
Saturday 9 July 2011

Linda and Nigel Bulpitt laid on a really special sherry tasting with plates of delicious tapas. There were six different types of sherry ranging from the dry Puerto Fina to the rich Pedro Ximenez made from 100% PX grapes.

On completion, a convoy was formed and a virtual staged entrance to the Fête was made. The cars were parked in a prominent position and attracted much interest.

The Fête was a splendid English country do with every form of entertainment from welly throwing, breaking china to milder matters for the very young. Lots to eat and drink but perhaps the winning interest was a mad dog show which entranced everyone. The Fête concluded with the traditional tug-of-war.

We have received a very nice thank you letter for our donation of £65 to the Froyle Village Hall fund.
