Car Collection 1

Members enjoyed a private viewing of an exotic and eclectic collection of around forty spectacular cars at the beginning of July in warm sunshine. Ranging from pre-war Lagonda, SS Jaguars (meriting Jaguar Heritage status) and Frazer Nash through to post-war delights such as three Lamborghini including the actual orange Miura used in the opening shots of 'The Italian Job'.

Also enjoyed were the delightful and extensive gardens surrounding the property, consisting of several water features, including over ten waterfalls, lakes complete with fountains and full of trout or koi carp, woodland and fern glades.

Several members also took the opportunity for a ride on a quad bike or 'driving' a Segway.

During the day our Chairman, David Gray, presented a cheque for £550, being the donations made by those attending, made out to 'Help For Heroes', the charity that our hosts actively support.

A return visit will be planned for another year.
