|We woke to a rather misty but nevertheless promising day after many weeks of windy and unsettled weather. The meetings at Staddles, up to now, have always been in fine warm conditions for the Sunday Hog Roast on the lawn and this was no exception. It was the hottest day of the year so far.
Over thirty cars and more than eighty people had assembled for the rally, with a cold Pimms being dispensed by my family helpers for starters. The delicious roast was served by Julie and her partner with assorted desserts to follow.
All participants appeared to enjoy the day - it is always a pleasure for us to host this event, with thanks to everyone who attended making the preparations all worthwhile.
A small gold earring or tie-pin in the shape of a frog was found on the patio - anybody lost this?
