Members parked theirClub cars in the car park

The weather forecast for Wednesday 8 June was not favourable - heavy showers and strong winds. However forty-one members and guests assembled on the quay at Itchenor, West Sussex, for a one and a half hour trip round the various creeks and inlets of Chichester Harbour in a small boat, open at one end to the elements. Most had used their Club cars, which were parked and looked after by the lady who had provided the sandwiches for lunch, which was taken on the boat. Although there was a strong wind to contend with - a force 7, we were told - it didn't stop members enjoying the skipper's interesting commentary. Luckily there was no rain but it could have been warmer!

Aboard the tour boat

As we finished our tour David Gray thanked the skipper and his mate for looking after our party and also me for organising the outing.
