LUNCH AT THE BIRD IN HAND, LOVEDEAN, WATERLOOVILLE
Sunday 23 January 2011

The Bird in Hand

The first meeting of 2011 for the Central Southern Section was held at a new venue, The Bird In Hand in Lovedean near Waterlooville, Hants. Approximately fourteen Club cars arrived and were parked in a spacious section of the car park. Some members were unable to bring their club cars due to pre-season maintenance being incomplete. That was a shame, but we had a reasonable selection of vintage, historic, classic and modern cars on display, much to the pleasure of many of the other customers who spotted them in the car park.

Tony Leach kindly informed the gathering of the formal appointment of David Gray as out new section Chairman. This was met with applause from all those present. David replied and congratulated Chris Tween on the choice of location and also the management of The Bird In Hand for their service and quality of food. This also attracted a round of applause.

A venue we would not hesitate to use again. Therefore a thank you to the staff of The Bird In Hand and an enjoyable start to 2011.
