Forty-four motorcars representing RREC and BDC members enjoyed a joint visit to this venue and provided an excellent display of models spanning almost one hundred years of production. Early cars included a fine selection of WO Bentleys and pre-war Rolls-Royce built examples with most post-war Crewe-built models also represented.
Members enjoyed exploring the pleasures of this delightful venue including the newly expanded rose garden, Italian garden and old potting sheds.
Elvira's café in the former stable block offered tasty diversions to satisfy the hungry and those that did not bring a picnic.
The owners of the house, Mr and Mrs Stephenson-Clarke, made their customary tour of the cars and chatted to members and guests. There was also considerable interest by general visitors to the gardens with numerous photographs being taken and questions asked.
Although the weather was a little breezy, the sun shone for most of the day on this excellent event at this exclusive venue.
