| Eighteen Club motor cars booked in for the event, less three no shows plus five 'on the day' entries. We parked, again, on the River Lawn taking advantage of the shade from the trees on what proved to be one of the sunniest and hottest days of the year. Picnicking was the ideal order of the day. There was a slot in the Show Jumping programme and so for the first time in many years we were able to parade in the International Arena. Eleven of our motor cars negotiated the show jumps and the Derby bank and then lined up to receive a splendid Hickstead rosette. Sky television have replaced the BBC this year and rumour has it that some of our parade was on Sky news. Our grateful thanks to the Bunn family (especially Liz, to whom we presented a 'thank you' bouquet of flowers) for allowing us to attend this prestigious event.
