| Oh dear! What can we say about this year's viewing of the London-Brighton Veteran Car run from Pease Pottage Moto Service Station on the M23 other than it rained very, very heavily. Perhaps we should pay tribute to the ten or so owners of Club cars who braved the atrocious conditions to join us and come and cheer along those even braver, intrepid veteran car owners for whom the journey from Hyde Park to Brighton must have been truly wretched, at least over the middle part of the day. Our day was somewhat brightened however by two former Club chairmen (Suzanne Finch and Jane Pedlar) and respective spouses who joined us to offer moral support despite the conditions. It is not often that one has to pour water out of one's shoes before going indoors but this was one such occasion...
