|A select gathering of six Central Southern motor cars were part of the 10,000 or so that congregated at Dunsfold aerodrome between Horsham and Guildford for the annual Wings & Wheels event. The event is one of the country's top air shows with spectacular displays by the RAF Red Arrows, the RAF Typhoon fast (and very noisy) combat jet, RAF Hawk Display and the only remaining flying Avro Vulcan to name but a few. Many car clubs were represented including the Bentley Drivers' Club and the RREC Silver Ghost Register. Motoring displays were provided on the runway by Mercedes World and the Brooklands Museum amongst others.
All in all a most enjoyable, if disappointingly cool and windy day. The downside being trying to depart at the end of the day with the 10,000 other cars... the trick being to relax with that early evening cuppa and then depart late after the crowds have gone.
