PETERSFIELD GOLF CLUB
Sunday 25 February 2007

The Central Southern Section had their February meeting at a new venue, not used before, namely, the Petersfield Golf Club in Hampshire. Over eighty members and guests sat down to a carvery lunch just after 1pm on a rather damp and unsettled winter's day.

Almost all our members brought out their club cars which gave the golfers, leaving the course, a fine display from the very latest Bentley Azure to the oldest, a 1924 Rolls-Royce 40/50, owned by the Wessex Section Secretary Chess Ferrier. I was delighted to see Bryan and Jane Roach who had come 'overseas' from the Isle of Wight.

Although some people had to wait longer than others for their lunch all reports indicated that the food was excellent and the warm welcome given to us by the staff made for a most pleasant way to spend a few hours away from home.
