| A good turnout of members and their guests. Forty-eight diners met on this important
anniversary day. The designated dining area and ample parking made life easy. Although coffee was
available at 11 o'clock several Club members attended Royal British Legion services at home and arrived
later.
We sat down to generous portions of typical British fare served by Royal Oak staff. The wines
and choice of local and guest beers complemented the excellent food.
A very pleasant, friendly gathering giving an opportunity to admire other members' cars - in
particular, Michael and Sue Whittemore's brand new Bentley Azure (a limited edition of twenty-five)
in beautiful black velvet.
