VISIT TO MICHELHAM PRIORY, NEAR HAILSHAM - Sunday 15 July 2001

Forty-five cars ranging from a 1922 Silver Ghost to a 1997 Bentley Turbo R arrived at Michelham Priory near Hailsham to drive across the moat and through the 14th century gatehouse onto the 'island' site. Our cars were displayed in front of the manor house building with a slight segregation of pre-war and post-war models to create a more eye-catching attraction! The exhibits and contents of the house proved very varied and interesting, however there was also plenty to see outside with a number of 'gardens', statues, a working watermill.
