VISIT TO ROYCE ENGINEERING
Betchworth - Sunday 21 August 2005
A wide variety of thirty Club cars graced the field adjoining Royce Engineering for a joint Central
Southern and South Eastern late summer picnic event blessed with warm sunshine. On display at Royce
was a mouth watering variety of desirable machinery for sale including an Azure and a brace of late
model Continentals. As an added attraction, a raffle was held for an extended helicopter ride providing
the lucky winners with spectacular views between Box Hill and Epsom Racecourse whilst those remaining
ground-based hung on to their picnic paraphernalia for dear life as the helicopter departed.
During the day, members were able to try out a new steed or two for size or examine the undersides
of assorted exotic motors on ramps in the workshops.
Many thanks to Royce proprietors Pat and Paul for another fascinating visit.
