WORKSHOP VISIT TO BROUGHTONS OF SURREY
Sunday 2 April 2005
Twenty-six enthusiasts finally arrived at Broughtons of Surrey branch, after the odd navigational
problem.
The workshop was well organised and, with three lifts manned, all proper cars were thoroughly inspected
and commented upon. It is pleasing to report that all cars were in good or better condition and several
useful tips were learnt.
After an excellent sandwich lunch, the intricacies of the Bentley GT Coupé and Arnage
were explained. It was interesting to learn that both cars weigh much the same, despite the difference
in size, and
that the smaller car has 100+ brake horsepower more than the larger.
A sunny day helped to make it a good occasion, which seemed to be enjoyed by all.
