VISIT TO BORDE HILL GARDEN AND HOUSE - Sunday 3 June 2001

Central Southern and South Eastern Sections joined up to return to one of the country's truly great gardens, after an absence of around twenty years. Forty-nine Rolls-Royce and Bentley cars attended including several who were not members of our Club but whose owners are now keen to join.

This venue had been suggested and arranged over twelve months ago and so Borde Hill were able to promote our visit in their brochures and other advertising. For most of the day we were exclusively parked up in the full glory of the Azalea Ring which proved to be eminently suitable in size and location for our members as well as for the considerable interest from members of the general public. Most members enjoyed a picnic on a sunny day ideal for enjoying the two hundred acres of Sussex parkland.

Our thanks to Simon Buck and Andrew Honour for arranging a splendid day.
