Dan Gurney joined the Revival at the weekend, which celebrated his motor sport career and marked the 50th anniversary of his first Grand Prix win at Rouen in 1962. Dan drove a Ferrari 250 TR59/60 at Goodwood in the 1959 TT. He went on to drive BRM P48, Porsche 804, Shelby American Cobra Daytona Coupé, Ford Galaxie 500 and Ford GT40, and had wins in F1, Indy, NASCAR and World Sports Cars.

'Gurney for President' placards. In the run-up to the 1964 US president election a light-hearted 'campaign' was started to elect Gurney. The campaign took off.   Dan Gurney (left) stood on equal terms with great drivers of the day such as John Surtees (right). The only person to win Motorcycle and F1 World Championships drove a Lotus 29 in the Dan Gurney Tribute.
