The Bonhams late Summer Sale was held at the Goodwood Revival, Chichester, on Friday 19 September. On offer was a selection of automobilia and some of the finest competition and collectors' motor cars spanning an era that in itself is the essence of this event. A superb selection of sports, competition and collectors' motor cars were displayed.   A fully restored 1964 Porsche 904 GTS Coupé sold for £485,500. 1965 Alfa Romeo TZ Berlinetta, coachwork by Carrozzeria Zagato, went for £254,500. 1933 Delage D8 4-litre Foursome Drophead Coupé fetched £76,300. 1931-Type Maserati Tipo 8C-2800 2-Seat Sports Car sold for £243,500. A beautiful 1965 Aston Martin DB5 Saloon sold for £131,300. 1959 Chevrolet Corvette 2-Seat Roadster sold for £26,400.

'S1', the first number plate to be issued in Edinburgh, was sold for £397,500 – a new world record price at auction. Paintings, prints and photographs sold well. The Austin J40 pedal car sold for £1,840. 1999 Harrier Le Mans Prototype sold for £25,300. 1945 NSU Kettenkrad, designed for German airborne forces as a light, multi-terrain, towing vehicle, sold for £67,500.
